Et juste pour donner plus de précisions, même la ville de Fès a plus de 1200 ans, mais sous forme de village. Quand Moulay Driss 2 a décidé de batir une capitale pour les Idrissides car Zerhoune devenait trop petite, il a aimé le site existant de Fès, et a donc envoyé ces emissaires pour voir si les habitants et propriétaires fonciers voulaient vendre leurs terrains à l'état, car il voulais faire aucune expropriation. Donc on peut comprendre que ce qu'il a fait c'est agrandir la ville. le 1200 est symbolique.

Quand on parle de 1200 années d'existance, on sous entend existance politique formelle, car avant cette date, et bien que la civilisation et la culture a toujours existé dans notre pays, on était pas definis comme le maroc.

Imad, I do agree that out history and culture go back way further than those 1200 years. We all love our country and its origins and I'm particularily proud of our Amazigh, Phoenician, Roman and other heritage. It's just that we did not launch the campaign. We came across the website, liked the initiative in touristic and promotional terms for our country and figured we'd do something outside of Morocco to better promote this event.
Thank you for pointing out the existence of other cultures we're glad to have as part of our heritage Imad.

Thank you Habiba for the clarification and thank you also for this brilliant initiative. I'm sure there are many people in the Middle East region who would like to promote the gorgeous and rich moroccan culture and history. Hajar, I am in Dubai, u'r in Abudhabi, so we can work out somethg as a start. Cheers.

Celebrer la creation de Fes, oui. Celebrer une dynastie Marocaine comme les Idrissides, oui. Mais sous-entendre que le Maroc a 1200 ans est tout simplement une insulte au non-musulmans et non-arabes Marocains. Que penserez-vous si je disais que l'histoire du Maroc n'a commence qu'en 1912?

Tout comme le dossier du Sahara nous le prouve, le Maroc a toujours beaucoup a apprendre dans le domaine du "politically correct"...

Si je puis donner mon avis, cette campagne doit etre renommee Fes1200.

je suis tres tres contente par cette initiative, c est une grande occasion pour tous les marocains qui aiment leur pays de montrer leurs sentiments et leur fierete!
chapeau!!!!!!!!!!!
moi je m appelle hajar et je suis marocaine bien sur , je vis aux emirats , a abu dhabi , je fais mes etudes a la paris sorbonne d abu dhabi !!!
je suis tres motivee pour cela et j aimerai bien que tous ceux et celles qui sont interesses et qui vivent a abu dhabi se reunissent pour former un petit club por faire marcher tout cela ...
j espere qu on va reussir !!!inshallah
par contre , j ai besoin vraiment de comprendre plus et plus ce qu on va faire et ce qu on a a faire!!!

Excelente Idée Hamza!! je suis d'accord avec toi, comme ça on sera plus organisé... on peut créer une discussion où chacun nous dit quelle univ./ville il represente.
Je propose aussi à toute personne interessée de l'evenement d'inviter ses amis. On voudrait le faire savoir à tout le monde.

Je crois que les personnes interessées devraient se regrouper par ville/état/pays, comme ça on pourra rassembler nos efforts. Moi je suis à Montréal et j'invite toute personne d'ici et qui serait interessée par ce projet de me contacter; on va se créer un petit comité et refléchir sur les actions à prendre.
